K’pada College +2 students allege ragging by seniors

Once again, the Kendrapada Autonomous College, one of the prime educational institutions has come to the news for the wrong reasons. This time, it has come to the limelight after some junior students alleged ragging by their seniors.

According to sources, seven second year students of + 2 commerce have alleged ragging by the + 3 students at NC Hostel of the college. They have alleged to have been misbehaved, forced to kneel down and beaten by their seniors.

On Tuesday, the victimised students along with their guardians met the college Principal and brought the matter to his notice. When contacted, Principal Prafulla Mishra stated that as per the preliminary findings it has found that some students of +3 commerce Second part misbehaved , assaulted and forced about seven students of + 2 commerce to kneel down on the floor on Monday night at the hostel after an altercation over passing of comments between them.

“Meanwhile, I have directed the hostel superintendent Manmoth Nayakto conduct an inquiry into the matter and to submit a detailed report within 24 hours. If the seniors are found guilty in the alleged matter, stern action will be taken against them,” said the Principal.
