This is so unfortunate that this blog came to my notice after such a long time. There is no truth in the event metioned here. It is the result of frustation caused by a new surroundinds and little code of cunduct imposed by seniors for first few months. The days at IET were the best in my life. Its a wonderful place to gain knowledge.

This post talks of a specific incident. Were you witness to the incident? If not, there is no way you can deny it.

This line of yours says it all...
"a little code of conduct imposed by seniors..."

There is nothing like "little" in "codes of conduct" "imposed" by seniors...

Huh.... What was that? While I agree with the fact that since the person was not a witness to the incident he cannot deny it. But the reverse is also true. How can you accept that what the complainant said about sexual abuse is true. Again there is no concrete proof of that.

Hi Anonymous, it is hard to ascertain whether the incident was right or wrong... there is no way one can deny it or prove it unless a proper investigation is carried out.

Therefore, all that we are saying is that since someone wrote to us, something like this "may have happened" and the college authorities should look into the college to find out whether these things happen...

In every case, the very fact that you are afraid to come out in the open means that you wish to hide something which takes away all credibility from your statements.

Let us analyse this thing with some rationale. I took admission in 2003 and passed out in 2007. The hostel is app. 250 seater. Neither I experienced such extreme acts, nor I heard anything like this. Moreover, the impositions at the beginning of 1st year (formal dress code and calling seniors "Sir") as well as few interactive sessions, having common content as across India in Boys hostel made sure that I knew every soul living in that place for all 4 years. Sexual abuse is a very serious incident, capable of attracting a very long jail term, and still out of those app 400 inmates I came to know in 4 years, only one came out with this revelation, that too in a very less known blog. I can only voice my opinion at last, that those were the best days I had in my life and I am sure majority of us will agree...may be also this guy who wrote the complaint in 2006 in some frustration.
